Gate House Kitchens offers private, permitted commercial kitchens for food and beverage businesses of all shapes and sizes in Greater Boston.

Our flagship location in Walpole was built from the ground up, meticulously planned, and designed to ensure our entire facility meets all of the needs of our tenants. Building off the success of our first facility, we opened our second facility next to Legacy Place in the summer of 2022.

Our mission is to give food entrepreneurs a turnkey, privatized, health-department approved prep kitchen to help them create, run, grow, and scale their business.


How We Do It

By lowering the barrier to entry, Gate House Kitchens has created the recipe that food entrepreneurs need to open their business, expand their footprint and produce at scale in a thoughtfully designed facility. Our ghost kitchens are a fraction of the cost of a traditional brick and mortar restaurant or commissary and tenants have the flexibility to create their ideal space, specific to their business.

By handling the logistics, construction, and initial overhead costs, our kitchens allow food entrepreneurs to do what they do best, cook. Although the restaurant landscape is dynamic, there is a significant opportunity for businesses to accelerate production, reach new customers and boost their bottom line in our facilities. Founded by two Boston native brothers; Gate House Kitchens is excited to be Massachusetts's first ghost kitchen operator.

How Big Are Your Kitchens?

All of our kitchens range from 200sf - 1,000sf, but don’t let the small size fool you, even our smallest spaces can be built out for maximum efficiency!

I cook/produce a specialized product. Will your kitchens work for me?

Yes! All of our spaces are built so that each kitchen is  100% private and fully self contained. You can produce Vegan, Gluten-Free, USDA Organic, Kosher, and many more specialized food types without worrying about cross-contamination. 

What's included in the kitchen?

Each kitchen comes with a 3-bay sink, hand wash sink, food prep sink, floor drains, grease traps, and FRP behind the wet wall. Additionally, our hot kitchens have a 9-14 foot hood, Ansul fire suppression system, and a plethora of gas and electric hookups.

What else is included?

Gate House Kitchens is built with several shared amenities for our tenants. These include but aren’t limited to; dry and cold storage, shipping and receiving, communal workspace, 24/7 access, parking, Wifi, and more!
